BESS Interpretation
For BESS investors, LTDA can be viewed as a potential contracted revenue layer, distinct from merchant JEPX arbitrage and balancing market upside. The key underwriting question is not only the auction price, but how much capacity is eligible, how other market revenues are clawed back, and how obligations or penalties affect net project economics.
